Thankful Friday

I am thankful for my physical blessings. The blessings of never going hungry, never sleeping on the street, always having enough clothes to wear, and always having enough money to meet all my basic needs and to enjoy many of my extra desires.

"To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition, to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, THIS is to have succeeded."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Saturday reflection...

Consider where you want to be on November 16, 2014.
Are the choices you are making today bringing you closer to the future you want or are they leading you away from that future?
Decisions are made one at a time, but each decision leads to another.
Daily decisions matter.
Choose wisely.

New plan for 2014

Dear Reader,

I know many of you have come to expect a daily e-mail letting you know that the daily post has been made. Posts go live at 7:01 AM CST and are usually a quote, Scripture, or some other type of encouragement. I will continue to post a daily entry until December 31, 2013. In 2014, I plan to cease with the daily postings and instead provide an original article each week. You will be receiving fewer updates from the site, but I hope that what information you do receive will be more personal and perhaps even more useful. I intend to write more about spirituality, living with compassion, mental illness, and finding joy in life.

Thanks for your continued support of this blog and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead.
